Terms of Service
- Formatting, full capacity checks and similar tools permanently erase everything on the selected drive.
- Back up important files before using the app. You are responsible for choosing the right drive.
- The app is provided "as is". We are not liable for lost data or damaged drives.
1. Agreement
By installing or using USB Drive Toolkit ("the app") you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the app. These Terms are between you and JayTheDev ("we", "us"). Google Play's terms also apply to your download and any purchase.
2. What the app does
The app reads and writes USB drives and SD cards connected to your Android device to show drive information, format drives, measure speed and check whether a drive's capacity is real. Some of these operations change or erase data on the drive. The app always asks you to confirm before an operation that erases data.
3. Your responsibilities
- Back up any data you want to keep before using a tool that writes to a drive.
- Make sure you selected the correct drive before confirming.
- Keep the drive connected and the device powered until an operation finishes. Unplugging a drive or losing power mid-operation can corrupt its data.
- Only use the app on drives you own or are allowed to modify.
- Don't use the app for anything illegal, and don't reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute it except where the law allows.
4. Results are estimates
Speed results depend on your phone, cable, adapter, the Android version and caching, and may differ from other tools. A quick capacity check samples the drive and can miss some faults; only the full check tests every byte. Results are provided for information and are not a guarantee of a drive's quality, capacity or lifetime.
5. Premium and ads
The app is free. It may show ads, and an optional one-time purchase ("Premium") removes them. Purchases are processed by Google Play, and refunds follow Google Play's refund policy. Premium is tied to your Google Play account and can be restored on another device with the same account (Settings → Restore purchases).
6. Licence and ownership
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on Android devices you own or control. The app, its design and its content remain our property.
7. No warranty
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of results, and that the app will work without errors or with every drive, adapter or device.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data, damage to drives or devices, or any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.
9. Changes and termination
We may update the app or these Terms. The current Terms are always posted on this page; continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it. You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live.
